The city's municipal court will have some schedule changes due to the parade and rally downtown on Wednesday to celebrate the Cavaliers NBA Championship.

“Given the historic nature of the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Championship victory, it is only right and proper that the Cleveland Municipal Court facilitate an opportunity for our employees and those who use the Cleveland Municipal Court’s facilities to join with the rest of Northeast Ohio and the Cavaliers’ nation for the celebratory parade scheduled to take place tomorrow, June 22, 2016,” said Judge Ronald B. Adrine, Presiding Judge of the Court’s General Division.

Adrine said the Cleveland Municipal Court General Division will be open Wednesday morning for court dockets scheduled to take place. However, individuals with scheduled hearings who fail to appear will have their case continued automatically, without being issued an arrest warrant or receiving additional costs.

The court said criminal cases scheduled for Wednesday morning will proceed. Cases are expected to conclude by or before 11 a.m. Cases scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in Housing Court will be continued at a later date.
