The Cleveland Cavaliers front office is searching for a candidate for the position of president of basketball operations.
Chauncey Billups, a retired NBA player, met with Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert about a future with the team.
Billups played 17 seasons with the NBA. He played on ten teams during his NBA career, including the Celtics, Denver Nuggets and Detroit Pistons.
According to reports from ABC News, Billups is not planning to leave Denver to come work for Cleveland. He currently commutes to Los Angeles to do television work at ESPN.
He has no front-office experience, but has a longstanding relationship with both Gilbert and the NBA.
