Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden had surgery on his left ankle, the team reported on Friday, and he is expected to be ready for the 2016 regular season.
The Browns said Haden injured his ankle in the Browns Week 8 home game against the Arizona Cardinals.
In 2015, Haden started five games, the Browns reported. He was inactive for eight games with various injuries including a concussion, rib, finger and ankle injuries. He was placed on injured reserve on December 14, 2015 after not clearing the NFL's concussion protocol. Haden later cleared the protocol on Jan. 12.
