The Cleveland Browns have signed Jahwan Edwards, a running back out of Ball State University.
The Browns reported Edwards at 5 feet 9 inches tall and 220 pounds.

Edwards is a first year running back who originally signed with the San Diego Chargers in 2015 as an undrafted free agent, the Browns said. He also spent time on the practice squads with the Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Miami Dolphins last season. Edwards spent the 2016 offseason with the Dolphins until he was waived on May 2.
The Browns said Edwards finished his time at Ball State as the university's all-time leader in career rushing yards, totaling 4,558, and 51 touchdowns.
Edwards is from Matthews, North Carolina and went to Butler High School.
