Former Ohio State Offensive Guard, John Hicks has died at the age of 65, according to 10TV.
Hicks played for the Buckeyes from 1970-1973 and during his time there, he was a two-time first-team All-Big Ten and two-time first-team All-American. He also finished as the runner up for the Heisman Trophy in 1973, and was the last lineman to finish that high.
After Ohio State, Hicks went on to play for the New York Giants and was inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame.
10TV is reporting that according to his family, Hicks died of complications from diabetes.
