Posted

Eleven thousand fun-filled fans packed into Quicken Loans Arena Thursday evening to watch the Lake Erie Monsters pull off a double overtime win.

Lucas Sedlak earned Cleveland hockey a trip to the Calder Cup for the first time since 1964.

The Monsters defeated the Ontario Reign 2-1, becoming the AHL Western Conference champions.

After sweeping that series, the Monsters now wait for Toronto or Hershey.
