Fall Harvest Weekends: Corn and Pumpkin Weekend
Saturday, October 15 & October 16, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
Lake Metroparks Farmpark continues a tradition of celebrating the harvest season with four weekends of fall harvest activities! In addition to the popular corn maze, live farm animals, kid’s crafts and harvest demonstrations, visitors can join us for any or all of the uniquely themed weekends during Fall Harvest Weekends. Help husk, shell and grind the corn or plow behind draft horses while younger visitors make handmade corn husk dolls and paint pumpkins. Visitors may also enjoy improvements to our Showman’s Circle area, including a farm-themed playground, a children’s water feature and covered shelter for live animal demonstrations, all new this year! On all four weekends, little farmers can pedal their way on mini tractors through the farm maze in the Visitor Center Exhibit Hall. Outside, they can navigate the hay maze and play in the kid’s areas, while out in the field the whole family can explore the three-acre corn maze. Enjoy harvest-themed crafts, get a taste of apple cider and help grind apples and press cider. In addition to the many regular daily activities, learn how to drive a miniature horse. Plus, each weekend, our hand-cranked ice cream will take on different harvest flavors!
