NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio — Center Ridge Road in North Ridgeville is back open to traffic following a gas main break.
A contractor working on Center Ridge Road damaged a nearby gas line, temporarily closing a portion of the road to motorists.
Bill Loomer, a spokesperson for Columbia Gas, said the gas break caused approximately customers to be without gas.
"The break initially looked worse than it was, because of the light rain in the area, the escaping gas blew up the mist and you could “see” the gas escaping the pipe," he said in a statement.
Loomer said the company started making repairs to the line and the area is safe to residents.
