BROOKLYN, Ohio — Strong winds that rolled across Northeast Ohio caused multiple trees to fall, causing power outages, damage and road closures as crews work to restore power and clear roads, which is the case in Brooklyn.
The Brooklyn Police Department is asking motorists in the area to avoid Memphis Avenue between Tiedeman Road and Bellaire Road due to downed wires in the area.
Police said the road closure could last for the next 24 to 48 hours.
There are currently more than 2,000 Brooklyn residents without power due to the severe weather.
