PAINESVILLE, Ohio — Painesville police are asking residents to avoid an area near Liberty Street because of a large sinkhole, the department said on their Facebook page.
Residents should avoid the area of Liberty Street between High and South streets. The sinkhole is affecting southbound traffic.
Police are asking motorists to use the detour to S St. Clair Street.
Northbound traffic is unaffected at the this time.
