Construction on the Shoreway is expected to cause major delays for drivers this month.
On Aug. 4, the Lake Avenue entrance ramp to the eastbound Shoreway will close through late November as the bridge is replaced. Drivers will be detoured on West Blvd.
Then, on Aug. 8, the Shoreway will be closed in both directions at Lake Avenue for approximately 25 days. The mainline will be restricted to one lane in each direction between Lake Avenue and West 73rd Street,
Access to the Shoreway will be allowed via the Lake Avenue exit ramp, which will be converted for two-way use.
The Ohio Department of Transportation says drivers should use alternate routes during this time, as long delays are expected.
