Heat and humidity are on the rise Saturday, fueling some storms in Northeast Ohio.
News 5 Meteorologist Phil Sakal gave updates Saturday afternoon:
There is a slight risk of severe storms Saturday afternoon into the evening. Anytime after 2 p.m., starting near the islands, look for damaging wind, lightning and flash flooding.
A line of strong and severe storms formed earlier this afternoon near Toledo, and that line continues to push eastbound into Northern Ohio.
The extremely humid and hot air will only add fuel to these storms as they slowly move east. This will continue to impact all of Northern Ohio from late day through the evening, west to east.
Watches and warnings
Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were issued for several counties but have since cleared.
