CLEVELAND — Get ready for more rain this week. We're continuing to get pounded with waves of rain as the storm to our west slowly creeps south.
Warm, moist air from the south still sliding up into Ohio will elevate our flood threat. Another 1-2 inches of rain locally will bring plenty of water over low-lying roads.
A Flood Watch is in effect for Erie, Huron, Richland, Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, Wayne and Ashland counties through Tuesday at 10 a.m. Residents in areas prone to flooding are encouraged to take precautions.
Recent rainfall has expanded area creeks and streams and saturated the ground. This will lead to rapid runoff and potential for flash flooding.
Remember, turn around don't drown. Flooding is the No 1. killer from severe weather yearly.
Temperatures will be close to average Monday in the low 70s with cooler temps in the 60s Tuesday and Wednesday.
