Dog days of summer: pet-friendly locations throughout the City

For pet owners, the saying "dog days of summer" has a more personal meaning. Having a furry friend can make scheduling day-trips difficult, with most pet owners not wanting to leave their dog home alone for hours at a time. 

Cleveland has several dog-friendly hotspots for you to enjoy the end of summer with man's best friend.

Breweries and Restaurants

  • Platform Brewery 
    Where: 4125 Lorain Avenue
    Pups are allowed on the patio of the brewery, located in Ohio City. 
     
  • Nighttown
    Where: 12383 Cedar Road 
    Enjoy some jazz with your pup. Nighttown's patio is dog-friendly as long as no one with allergies is dining at the restaurant. However, no need to worry about sparking an allergic reaction - the restaurant also has a dog-friendly court / patio specifically for pet owners! 
     
  • Sibling Reverly Brewing
    Where:
     29305 Clemens Road 
    The Westlake brewery opened a patio this summer and was ranked in CLE Dog magazine as one of the city's Top 10 dog friendly patios. Pups and Pints and other dog-themed events are hosted throughout the year.

  • Nano Brew Cleveland 
    Where: 
    1859 W. 25 Street 
    Along with Nano Brews full food and drink menu, the establishment has a dog-friendly patio. 
     
  • Great Lakes Brewery 
    Where:
    2516 Market Avenue 
    The Ohio City Brewery that makes classic Cleveland-themed beers also allows dogs on the patio. 
     
  • Coastal Taco 
    Where:
    1146 Old River Road 
    Enjoy The Flats with your pup! Eat some tacos on the water, enjoy a great patio and - if your pup is lucky, maybe they'll get some scraps from your meal!  
     
  • Barrio - Tremont 
    Where: 806 Literary Road 
    Enjoy some custom Barrio tacos on the patio with your pooch. The back entrance to the patio allows you to come right in with your dog to avoid walking through the restaurant. 
     
  • Luxe Kitchen & Lounge 
    Where:
     6605 Detroit Avenue 
    Brunch with some barks? Enjoy your Sunday mornings with your four-legged friend at the lounge's 'Bow Wow Brunch' events. 
     
  • Fat Cats 
    Where: 2061 W. 10 
    Don't let the name fool you - this restaurant's patio is dog friendly! 
     
  • Yuzu
    Where: 13603 Madison Avenue 
    This Japanese restaurant not only welcomes dogs, it hosts events for them! Some events even feature a free dog buffet.

    Take your furry friend out on the patio - or even bring them inside while you enjoy your brew. The brewery even hosts dog-themed events, like "Yoga? I'm down dog." yoga sessions with your furry friend!

Shopping and Entertainment 
Sick of your shopping excursions with your pooch only consisting of pet stores? While stores like PETCO, PetSmart and other local pet stores are pet-approved shopping locations, sometimes you need a bit more retail therapy.

    Looking to spoil your pet? Pet-Tique offers unusual treats and quality products to enhance your experience with your pet. The store is dog and cat friendly! 
     
  • Cleveland Flea 
    Where:
    3615 Superior and St. Clair Avenues in Asia Town 
    The Cleveland Flea is a dog-friendly shopping destination. Saturday Fleas take place August 12, September 9 and October 14.
