Want to dine like LeBron James without the drive to Akron?

Akron-based burger chain Swensons, one of James's declared favorites, will be opening in University Heights as early as this fall.

According to Kelly Thomas, Clerk of Council for University Heights, the city council voted to approve the addition of the classic drive-in dining establishment on Monday after it was approved by the city's Planning Commission earlier in the month.

The University Heights location will mark Swenson's eighth restaurant, with others located in Akron, Stow, Montrose, Jackson and Seven Hills.

The restaurant will be located on Cedar Road, next to Jack's Deli in a lot that is currently vacant. It will offer the classic Swensons experience: skip the table, eat right in your car!

Swensons has a long-standing history in Ohio, with the first location opening in 1934.

Named "America's Best Burger" by Forbes in 1999, LeBron has continued to promote the Akron chain as his favorite burger joint. He has taken Hollywood stars like Amy Schumer and Bill Hader to the restaurant and reportedly stopped at the chain for a burger after last year's Cavs championship parade.
