"I was fighting for my life," said the victim of a robbery and attack inside a Huron Road garage.

"He had very angry eyes," said the victim. It was about one in the afternoon on June 16, when the mother of three, who asked News 5 to shield her identity, was beaten and robbed.

"He said, 'give me your money.' I struggled with him. He punched me in the face and knocked me to the ground. He slammed my head into a pole and caused a concussion. I continued to struggle with him and then my purse strap broke and he took my purse," said the victim.

Police said security cameras captured the 17-year-old suspect using her stolen credit card at Target in Steelyard Commons. But, this wasn't the first time, according to police.

"Montez Cobb is wanted for six separate robberies in two months," said Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Mike O'Malley. Most taking place in the Cleveland State and Playhouse Square areas.

O'Malley said Cobb was on probation for a 2015 robbery. During that robbery, he stuck a gun in the stomach of a pregnant woman.

O'Malley said he was given probation and went on to commit a violent string of robberies while on probation.

One of O'Malley's top priorities is to crack down on juvenile crime. O'Malley said he filed paperwork to have Cobb face adult charges just like he has done to 80 other juveniles since taking office in January.

"When you reach a level of violence when you're pointing a gun at another human being, you cross the line and we can't tolerate that," added O'Malley.
