COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and leaders of the Ohio Hospital Association will hold a briefing Monday to address the increase in coronavirus cases across the state and how the increase in COVID-19 cases is affecting Ohio hospitals.
The briefing is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. News 5 will broadcast the news conference live on-air, on our digital platforms, on Facebook and in the media player below:
On Saturday, Ohio surpassed 5,500 coronavirus cases—the highest number of daily new cases since the pandemic began.
Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff, incoming chief medical director at the Ohio Department of Health, and leaders from the association will talk about the coronavirus cases and how it's affecting hospitals in the state.
Other speakers during the briefing include Ronda Lehman, president of Mercy Health, Robert Wyllie, a doctor at the Cleveland Clinic, and Andrew Thomas, of the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
