AVON, Ohio — There will be a pop-up COVID-19 testing site at Crushers Stadium in Avon on Friday.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’s free and open to the public, according to Lorain County Health and Dentistry.

Crushers Stadium is located at 2009 Baseball Blvd.

People attending the event will be able to remain in their cars while they are swabbed through their car window. Walk-up testing will not be available.

Testing is available for anyone over 2 years old, including for individuals who do not have symptoms.

As there is no cost associated with the test, insurance will not be required. Additionally, you will not need a doctor’s referral or to pre-register, health officials said.

If you are unable to attend the event, you can reach out to Lorain County Health and Dentistry at 440-240-1655 for a COVID-19 test appointment. For more information, click here.
