AKRON, Ohio — An Akron establishment has been cited for violating state health orders issued by Gov. Mike DeWine. Gatsby's Pub was cited for disorderly activity, improper conduct, nudity, and Sunday sale of intoxicating liquor. According to its Facebook page, Gatsby's is "A gentleman's sports pub with dancers."
Agents visited Gatsby's around 9:15 p.m and found 200 guests inside moving freely around the bar. According to agents, some guests were able to receive lap dances from nude entertainers. There was little to no social distancing members in place, and the pub offered a self-service buffet.
The case will go before the Ohio Liquor Control Commission for potential penalties, including fines and/or the suspension or revocation of liquor permits.
