CLEVELAND — The DSTRKT Club in Cleveland was cited Saturday by agents from the Ohio Investigative Unit for violating state health orders aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus, authorities said.
According to the OIU, the bar was cited for improper conduct—disorderly activity.
Agents and Cleveland police officers went to the bar around 12:30 a.m. and saw patrons congregating together.
"Patrons occupied consecutive seats at the bar, while others stood behind them to order. Many patrons were permitted to stand and consume alcoholic beverages. Little to no social distancing measures or physical barriers were in place. Most of the bar staff and patrons were not wearing facial coverings," the OIU said.
The case will be sent to the Ohio Liquor Control Commission to determine if the bar will face any fines or penalties sucha s the revocation of its liquor permit.
