CLEVELAND — A 42-year-old man was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon in Cleveland’s Union-Miles Park neighborhood.
The name of the man has not been released.
According to police, officers responded to the 3000 block of East 112th Street around 7:20 p.m. for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police said that they located the man and administered first aid. He had been shot in the neck. EMS transported him to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that the man was sitting on a porch with five other people when a person driving by in an SUV opened fire. The man was the only person who was hit by gunfire. The vehicle drove off after the shooting.
No further information was provided.
The matter remains under investigation.
