18-year-old pulls into parking lot in Akron for flat tire, gets stabbed by unknown woman, police say

AKRON, Ohio — An 18-year-old woman was stabbed by an unknown woman in Akron Tuesday after she pulled into a parking lot for a flat tire.

According to Akron police, the assault happened around 3:20 p.m. in the 1500 block of Copley Road.

Authorities say that the assailant approached the victim’s car and then stabbed her.

The 18-year-old ran from the scene while the assailant fled the area.

A good Samaritan took the victim to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center for treatment. The 18-year-old was last known to be in stable condition.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call Akron police detectives at 330-375-2490 or Summit County CrimeStoppers at 330-343-COPS.
