AKRON, Ohio — Firefighters are working a two-alarm fire that broke out at a commercial building in Akron late Saturday morning.

Crews responded to the 600 block of East Exchange Street just before 11:30 a.m. and found the structure fully-involved. According to the Akron Beacon Journal, the building contained mattresses that were being kept in storage.

East Exchange Street was closed between Fountain Street and Cleveland Avenue but has since reopened, authorities said.

The smoke plume from the building was so large it showed up on weather radar.

According to authorities, no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
