AKRON, Ohio — An Akron home where a former NFL player's brother was shot and killed last week was shot at again over the weekend.

On Sunday shortly after 4 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Weeks Avenue for shots fired. Officers found the house and a car parked in the driveway struck with bullets.

Another house in the 1200 block of 7th Street was also hit by a stray bullet.

Police said no injuries were reported.

The vehicle suspected to be involved in the shooting was described as a white four-door vehicle.

Akron police and Chris Wells continue to search for leads and a possible getaway car after his brother, Joel P. Wells, of Green, was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head.

Beanie Wells told News 5 Cleveland that he is offering a $15,000 reward for the arrest of the shooter. Summit County Crimestoppers is also offering a reward of up to $5,000 and others from the Columbus area are chipping in an additional $15,000 for information leading to the killer.
