AKRON, Ohio — An Akron woman has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after stabbing her boyfriend to death.
Authorities said Crystal Bruce, 34, was living with her boyfriend, Shawn Belville, 34, in September 2017.
Bruce stabbed Belville in the chest. He died a short time later.
She cleaned up the crime scene and hid the knife she used to kill Belville, according to the prosecutor's office.
Bruce pleaded guilty to first-degree voluntary manslaughter, third-degree tampering with evidence and third-degree illegal cultivation of marijuana.
