AKRON, Ohio — Akron police are looking for leads after several shots were fired into a pizza shop Wednesday night.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. at Your Pizza Shop on West Exchanges Street.

Four employees and one customer were inside the business when at least four shots were fired from the outside. No one was injured.

Bullets blasted through windows and damaged interior walls. One shot hit the kitchen oven.

Angelo Gonzales has owned the shop for eight years. He said employees were shaken up, but the store reopened on Thursday.

"There's all the emotions that are going through your head. We're still trying to digest it all," Gonzales said. "We really don't know how we feel at this point, but we do know that we have an obligation here to serve this community and create jobs and I think that's what we're going to continue to do."

Employees saw two men in dark clothing running down Amelia Avenue after the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Akron Police Department Detective Bureau at 330-375-2490 or Summit County Crimestoppers at 330-434-COPS.
