City officials hold hearing about department that investigates citizen complaints against police

CLEVELAND — The Council Safety Committee is holding a hearing on the Office of Professional Standards and the Civilian Police Review Board Wednesday morning to see whether the department in charge of investigating citizen complaints against police officers is actually working.

The Safety Committee will provide a brief presentation by Roger Smith, administrator for the Office of Professional Standards and functions of his office.
