12-year-old boy in critical condition after being struck by car on I-90, witness says

CLEVELAND — A 12-year-old boy was injured Friday afternoon after being hit by a car in Cleveland, according to a witness at the scene.

The incident happened at Interstate 90 and Ontario Street.

A News 5 journalist who was on scene said it appeared the boy had been struck.

According to Cleveland EMS, the boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Two right lanes remain closed on the I-90 bridge to Ontario, according to Cleveland police, and there is no estimate on when the lanes will be reopened.

No further details have been released.
