Cleveland community honors police officers with wreath ceremony

CLEVELAND — There will be a ceremony Saturday morning in Cleveland to honor and thank the police who put their lives on the line to protect the public.

The event starts at 11 a.m. near St. Joseph Academy, 3470 Rocky River Drive. Participants will walk to the West Park Cleveland Police And Firefighters Memorial at Rocky River Drive and McKinley Avenue.

"We will carry a wreath to express our gratitude to the fine women and men of law enforcement who protect us and save us from harm. Please bring a note of thanks for our officers," event organizers said.

Parking is available at the east parking lot (soccer field side) at St. Joseph Academy.
