17-year-old arrested for allegedly vandalizing police car during Cleveland protest on May 30

CLEVELAND — A 17-year-old from Olmsted Falls was arrested Saturday by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force on charges stemming from a protest in Cleveland last week.

According to authorities, the teen is charged with aggravated rioting and vandalism for his alleged role in a peaceful protest that turned violent on May 30 at the Justice Center.

Photographs from Cleveland police allegedly show the teen vandalizing a police cruiser.

No additional information has been released.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about individuals who committed crimes during the protest to call Crimestoppers at 216-25-CRIME.
