2 teens arrested in Cleveland after police said they shot at officers

CLEVELAND — Two juveniles were arrested after Cleveland police say they shot at undercover officers late Wednesday night.

According to police, undercover officers were in the area of East 86th Street and Quincy Avenue around 11:50 p.m, when they were shot at by at least one person inside a car that was able to get away.

Officers given a description spotted a car matching that of the suspects near East 93rd and Harvard Avenue around 12:05 a.m. Thursday and when they tried to stop the car two male juveniles jumped out and ran.

Both were eventually caught after a short search by multiple Cleveland police officers. Police told News 5 Cleveland a gun was found in a yard near where one of the suspects was arrested and a magazine was also recovered from inside the car.

No officers were hurt in the shooting.
