1 dead, 2 injured Saturday in shooting on Cleveland's East Side

CLEVELAND — Cleveland EMS responded to multiple locations Saturday afternoon after shots were reportedly fired near a funeral home on the city’s East Side.

According to authorities, the incident happened in the 10900 block of Superior Avenue in Cleveland’s Glenville neighborhood.

Cleveland EMS states that an 18-year-old man was taken to University Hospitals, where he later died. The medical examiner identified the victim as Josiais Frisco, 18, of University Heights.

Paramedics also transported another 18-year-old man in critical condition from East 99th Street and East Boulevard. A third person, a 21-year-old man, was transported in stable condition from the 1100 block of East 85th Street, according to Cleveland EMS.

Police said all three victims were attending a funeral and were shot at when they were leaving.

No arrests have been made.
