The teen has been identified as Leeneal Smith, according to police.
The shooting happened Monday evening in the 9400 block of Cardwell Avenue in Cleveland’s Broadway-Slavic Village neighborhood, authorities said.
Fourth District officers responded to the location after receiving a report of a man shot. When they arrived, officers found Smith in the middle of the street. Police gave the teen first aid until EMS arrived and transported him to MetroHealth Medical Center, authorities said.
Witnesses told officers at the scene that a gunshot was heard and then two men removed the teen from an unidentified white vehicle, according to police.
