SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — A 4th District Cleveland police officer crashed into a utility pole in Shaker Heights Thursday morning.

At around 3:30 a.m., a 4th district officer reported that he crashed into a pole at Lee Road and Lomond Boulevard.

Shaker Heights and Cleveland EMS responded to the scene.

The front of the cruiser was heavily damaged as a result of the crash.

It’s unknown at this time if the officer was transported to the nearby hospital.
