CLEVELAND — A pursuit involving troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and a vehicle with a window tint violation ended in a crash in Cleveland’s Clark-Fulton neighborhood Friday.

At approximately 1:25 a.m., troopers initiated a traffic stop with a 2005 Chevy Malibu for a window tint violation on I-490 westbound near milepost 0 in Cleveland.

After the vehicle did not stop, troopers pursued the vehicle onto I-71 southbound where it exited at West 25th Street.

The vehicle continued northbound on West 25th Street and turned westbound on Trowbridge Avenue.

The vehicle drove through a driveway of an abandoned home and struck a wooden fence and a tree stump.

Troopers said the driver fled the scene on foot. The area was searched but the driver was not located.

Inside the vehicle, state troopers located suspected felony narcotics and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
