CLEVELAND — An elderly man died Saturday morning when a fire broke out at a home on West 123rd Street, according to the Cleveland Fire Department.

The name of the victim hasn't been released.

One other person was rescued from the home and taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment. Their condition is currently unknown.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the fire was accidental and caused by an electrical issue. The fire department advises residents that extension cords should only ever be used temporarily.
