CLEVELAND — A vehicle involved in a pursuit with officers from Strongsville police crashed into a pole in Cleveland’s Stockyard neighborhood Friday morning.

The OSHP on scene confirmed to a News 5 photojournalist that officers began a pursuit of a car on I-71 northbound in Strongsville. OSHP later said they were an assisting agency, and the Strongsville Police Department was the primary agency.

During the pursuit, the driver of the pursued vehicle hit a police cruiser before it exited at West 65th Street and crashed into a pole on West 56th Street just north of Denison.

The pursued vehicle had a tire mark on the driver's side.
