CLEVELAND — A man wanted in the fatal shooting of two people on Interstate I-90 in July 2018 has been captured by the members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and officers from the Cleveland Police Department Tuesday afternoon.
Gianni Gray was arrested in the area of East 121st Street and Union Avenue in Cleveland.
A warrant for aggravated murder was issued for Gray back in 2018.
On Saturday, July 14, 2018, just before 7:30 p.m., Gray allegedly shot and killed Malachia Stewart and Andre Williams while they sat in a car at the West 117th Street exit ramp, according to the warrant.
Police said both of the victims had gunshot wounds to their head and body.
A third victim, a 24-year-old woman, was also injured in the shooting. She was grazed by a bullet in the stomach while she was stopped at the off-ramp.
Gray has prior convictions of carrying concealed weapons, having weapons under disability and drug trafficking. He was sentenced to five years in prison in 2009, according to court records.
