Family finds 53-year-old woman dead from apparent blunt force trauma inside her Cleveland home

CLEVELAND — A 53-year-old woman was found dead inside her home in Cleveland’s Woodland Hills neighborhood Monday afternoon. Police are investigating the case as a suspected homicide.

The woman has been identified as Donna Blount, of Cleveland, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Police said they were called to the residence in the 11000 block of Notre Dame Avenue around 2 p.m.

Family members who hadn’t heard from the woman went to her home and were let in by her landlord. They found the woman’s body inside, police said. It appears the woman sustained blunt force trauma.
