Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots now worth a combined $842 million

CLEVELAND — If you’re feeling lucky and think this is your year, it could be worth a shot at playing the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots that are now worth a combined $842 million.

Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth $432 million, the 10th largest jackpot in the game’s history. The estimated cash value is $329.7 million.

Wednesday's Powerball Jackpot is worth $410 million, with an estimated cash value of $316.4 million.

At a combined $842 million, it’s the highest combined jackpot total for the multi-state jackpot games since October 2018, when Mega Millions reached its all-time record of $1.537 billion and the Powerball reached $687.8 million.

Ohio Lottery players have been lucky in recent drawings with winners announced in Worthington (Columbus area) and Delta (Toledo area).

Mega Millions and Powerball tickets are $2 each. The drawings are set for Jan. 5 and Jan. 6.

Ohio Lottery customers can purchase tickets at retail locations or using one of Ohio Lottery’s self-service machines.
