A man accused of assaulting an 18-month-old girl in November appeared in court for his arraignment Tuesday.
Judge Maureen Clancy set a $50,000 bond for 29-year-old Daniel Belcher, who was charged with one count attempted murder and four counts of child endangering, according to court records.
Belcher assaulted the child on Nov. 6, leaving her with multiple fractures, broken ribs, punctured lungs and a lacerated liver, according to authorities.
The assault allegedly occurred at a home in the 1100 block of East 66th Street. The child was taken to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital where she remains. Her current condition is not known.
Belcher has a pretrial hearing set for Dec. 11 at 9 a.m.
