BEACHWOOD, Ohio — Beachwood police arrested the man believed to be involved with the July 3 shooting at Beachwood Place.
Around 5:11 p.m. on July 3, officers responded to reports of a gunshot in the Beachwood Place Saks Fifth Avenue corridor, police said.
Once on scene, officers found a man who had been shot in the leg. He was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for his injuries, according to police.
The man was believed to have been in an altercation with the shooter and police said they may have known each other prior to the incident and that they did not believe the shooting to be random.
On Thursday, police identified the shooter as 20-year-old Antonio Evans Jr.
He was arrested and charged with felonious assault and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office may add additional charges, police said.
