A 24-year-old Cleveland man who was found guilty earlier this summer of making harassing telephone calls to a local synagogue has been sentenced to six months in jail.
Abdulrahman Abulkhalil was also given a $700 fine and ordered to get a mental health evaluation.

According to authorities, a man called and left harassing messages at the University Heights Jewish Center Synagogue, 14270 Cedar Road on Jan. 21.
Rabbi Raphael Davidovich, Mara d’Asra said on the temple's website that the messages were "both disturbing and anti-Semitic."
