SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — A 51-year-old man has been sentenced to six and a half years in prison for eight burglaries in Shaker Heights, Bedford, Cleveland Heights and Cleveland.
Bobby Weatherspoon pleaded guilty to the following charges:
- Four counts of Attempted Burglary
- Three counts of Theft
- One count of Failure To Comply
- One count of Grand Theft
- Two counts of Misuse Of Credit Cards
- Three counts of Breaking And Entering
- Two counts of Attempted Felonious Assault
- One count of Trafficking In Or Illegal Use Of Food Stamps
- One count of Obstructing Official Business
- One count of Attempted Breaking And Entering
Police said Weatherspoon committed crimes in locations that are widely known to be easy targets because basic security measures were not employed.
He was arrested in Shaker Heights after being caught on a security camera while wearing reflective traffic vests to blend in with the community.
