LAKEWOOD, Ohio — You know the saying the show must go on?

Well, Lakewood and Avon's marching bands did just that.

After the massive rainstorm on Friday canceled the football games, both school's marching bands performed their halftime show in Lakewood's cafeteria.

Lakewood marching band's director Clinton Steinbrunner said that one of the reasons they wanted to play was because they had eighth grade band members there that night to perform with them.

"We wanted to make sure they still got the chance to play with the high school students! They played 'Never Gonna Give You Up' with us at the end," Steinbrunner said.

If you're interested in seeing multiple marching bands throughout the area perform, Lakewood is hosting their 33rd annual LHS Marching Band Festival on Sept. 21 at First Federal of Lakewood Stadium from 6-9 p.m.
