Three police cruisers hit by car used in attempted robbery at Jared's in Strongsville

Several cruisers were hit by a car that was fleeing from police in Strongsville on Tuesday night.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 16, police spotted a Chevrolet Impala near State Route 82 and Interstate 71 that was allegedly used in an attempted robbery at Jared The Galleria of Jewelry, 16760 Royalton Road, earlier in the evening, according to authorities.

This is the second attempted robbery at Jared's in less than a month.

Strongsville officers pursued the Impala northbound on I-71. During the chase, the Impala's driver intentionally struck three police cars, authorities said.

Officers called the chase off around 7:42 p.m.

The Impala was later found on Webster Road in Middleburg Heights by police. No arrests have been made.
