MENTOR, Ohio — The Mentor Police Department is looking for two men who took advantage of wearing face masks that concealed their identity to shoplift from a store in the city.

“Although we appreciate these males practicing social distancing and wearing masks, taking items from a store without paying is still a crime,” the department said in a Facebook post.

Authorities didn't say where the theft occurred.

Anyone who has information about the identities of the two individuals is asked to send a private message on Facebook to the department or call Officer Jones at 440-974-5760. Anyone with tips is asked to reference report number #20-14068 when contacting police.
