ELYRIA, Ohio — An Elyria man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a juvenile over a span of three years.

Brian Eady, 31, has been charged with one count of rape, a first-degree felony.

Elyria police detectives were notified about the alleged incidents by Lorain County Children Services the Elyria City School District.

During an interview with detectives, Eady told authorities that he raped the juvenile about three years ago, according to a news release from Elyria police.

The victim told investigators that they had been molested and raped over a three-year period from 2016 to 2018 at the victim's home.

Detectives believe Eady is a danger to the community based on the serious nature of the charge. Eady is currently being held at jail in lieu of a $750,000 bond. He has a court hearing scheduled on April 1.
