JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A man accused of killing a Jackson Township careworker plotted the attack because he was upset over the group home's rules, according to News 5's media partners at the Canton Repository.
Jacob Beichler, a 23-year-old resident at the group home, stabbed Lisa Isom, 51, to death while she was walking to her car on Jan. 12, according to court documents.
In court on Wednesday, the detective who interviewed Beichler after the crime said that Beichler confessed to the killing.
Beichler allegedly wasn't pleased that Isom had less stringent rules for another resident than him, so he ordered the knives off of Amazon, removed the light bulbs from in front of the home and hid behind the trash can, according to the detective.
After hearing those details, the judge indicted Beichler on aggravated murder and felonious assault charges.
