SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio — An autopsy performed Tuesday on a 23-year-old woman found dead in a Springfield Township motel didn't see any apparent evidence of lethal trauma.

Brittany Lynn Watson, with a last known address of Clifton Boulevard in Cleveland, was found dead after officers were called to the Office Motel in the 1900 block of Massillon Road at about midnight Sunday morning. Police responded after receiving a report of an unresponsive female. Officers found the woman in one of the motel cabins.

According to the Springfield Township Police Department, when authorities found Watson, police were concerned about bruising around her neck, but it appears the marks weren't related to her death.

Family members are having a difficult time coping with her death.

“I’m still in denial, we were attached at the hip. She was my best friend,” said her brother, Brandon Watson.

“We had each others backs,” he said.

Brandon and Brittany Watson were put into foster care when they were five, according to Brandon Watson.

He said they were adopted when they turned 10.

Through it all, he said, they always had each other.

“I still call her to hear her voice, I haven’t been able to sleep,” said Watson.

Watson said his sister had a big heart, she was kind, funny and she loved her two small children.

"She cherished those two kids,” said Watson.

Authorities are waiting on toxicology reports to come in. Watson's cause of death at this time is undetermined, but is still considered suspicious.
